He has made it a Book that is straight, neither distorted nor confusion therein. Through the Qur’an, He brings them out of the darkness into light. Surah Isra/ Bani Israel has been revealed in a similar way by Allah praising Himself.Īllah praises Himself for revealing His Mighty Book to His Noble Messenger Muhammed, which is the greatest blessing that Allah has granted the people of this earth. When Allah begins the Surah by praising Himself, it implies that to which He directs our attention is of supreme importance.

We know that Surah Bani Israel ends with the ayah : And say, “Praise to Allah…” And that the order “ And say, “Praise to Allah”, is being fulfilled in Surah Kahf as it begins with the ayah “ praise is to Allah…” Translation of the above ayah: praise is to Allah, who has sent down upon His Servant the Book and has not made therein any deviance. Alhamdu lillahi allathee anzala AAala AAabdihi alkitaba walam yajAAal lahu AAiwaja n The first question that comes to our mind on reading the hadith is: What do these 10 aayaat/verses contain that Prophet Muhammed (pbuh) advised us to memorize them?ġ. First ten aayat of Surah Al-Kahf (The Cave) Now, let’s go through the aayat and try to understand how we can implement these aayat on ourselves and remain safe from the Dajjali fitnah. For example, Ghulam Ahmed Qadiyaani, who claimed to be a prophet was a Dajjal, an imposter, pretending to be a prophet. It is said in a hadith that there will arise 30 Dajjal before the real Dajjal appears (Sahih Bukhari: Book #88, Hadith #237).

Surah Kahf comes immediately after Surah Bani Israel (also known as Al-Isra).īecause Dajjali fitnah is going to be the toughest test of the believers, therefore implementing these Aayaat is going to be toughest on the believers as well.ĭajjal comes from the word Dajjl which means deceiver/ imposter. Surah Kahf (The Cave) is the eighteenth (18 th) Surah of the glorious Qur’an. “He whose head was being crushed with a stone was one who learnt the Quran but never acted on it, and slept ignoring the compulsory prayers.” (Sahih Bukhari: Book #21, Hadith #244) And the sufficient proof for this indication is the following hadith about the dream that Prophet Muhammed (pbuh) had: If anyone learns by heart the first ten verses of the Surah al-Kahf, he will be protected from the Dajjal. (Sahih Muslim: Book #004, Hadith #1766)īut it should be noted that “learning by heart” also indicates implementing these aayat on ourselves.
